An update on In the Silence

As you may be aware, the third novel in my Anna Scavolini series, The Shadow Men, comes out in October. The first book in the series, In the Silence, was published by Bloodhound Books, while the second instalment, Cruel Summer, was published under my own Mad House imprint. The Shadow Men will also be a Mad House title, and in recent weeks I’ve been giving some consideration to my publishing strategy, concluding that it made sense to have the entire series under the same imprint with consistent branding. Earlier this week, I asked Bloodhound if they would be willing to transfer the rights to In the Silence back to me. They very kindly agreed and, as of today, the rights reside with me.

Because of this, Bloodhound’s Kindle edition is now unavailable to buy (though if you already own it, it’s yours to keep), and there will probably be a delay of at least a few days before I’m able to republish it. When I do, it will be with temporary cover art. I recently commissioned a designer to create the cover for The Shadow Men, and my intention is for them to also create new covers for In the Silence and Cruel Summer to keep things consistent, with the new covers debuting at around the time of The Shadow Men’s release. I look forward to unveiling these in due course.

Needless to say I remain incredibly grateful to Bloodhound for publishing In the Silence in the first place, and I look forward to continuing my relationship with them with future books - albeit not books featuring Anna Scavolini. Stay tuned for more information about the new edition of In the Silence, which I hope to be in a position to share soon.
